Principal’s Address

Welcome to FCJ Secondary School Bunclody. This academic year we are entering 162 years of education in our school. We are very proud to be associated with the Faithful Companion of Jesus Sisters whose legacy is reflected in the values which are at the heart of all we do as a school for over 1000 students. We seek to create a respectful, happy and safe atmosphere built on a foundation of positive relationships among all in our school community, especially with our students and parents. Our school values respect for all, kindness and willingness to help others, fairness and forgiveness. Every FCJ Student knows their 3 rights which are:

1. The right to feel safe and happy
2. The right to learn
3. The right to be yourself

With this foundation in place our students can go on to achieve their full potential academically and grow into young adults with the confidence, values and skills to succeed in life after school.

A Community For Everyone

From Academics to Sports, and Music to Environmental Awareness Campaigns, FCJ Bunclody endeavours to provide learning and life experiences for all students, whilst underpinning the core values of our ethos:

TRUTH, RESPECT, and JUSTICE.

Academic Excellence

Academics are at the heart of all we do in FCJ, with a keen focus on allowing all of our students to reach their full potential, no matter what that might be. We cater for a wide range of aptitudes and interests through our wide variety of subject choice.

Social & Environmental Innovation

FCJ has a great tradition of participation in local, regional, and national initiatives and strategies that enable our students to develop as more innovative and responsible members of society.

Sporting Success

We are passionate about sport in FCJ, and take great pride in our sporting successes and achievements. We also have a strong culture of exercise and perfomance in a more holistic and life-long manner, with our Active School Flag promoting strong evidence of this.

Music & Extra Curricular Programmes

For decades, the FCJ Community has enjoyed dazzling performances from our students in the biennial musical productions, as well as orchestral and music performances by the various bands and musical groups in our school.

Our school values respect for all, kindness and willingness to help others, fairness and forgiveness, courtesy and good manners.

Code of Behaviour

FCJ Bunclody

Our School is a Christian community of learning and companionship in which each student and member of staff experiences and is responsible for the development of person centred, holistic and enjoyable education.

Mission Statement

FCJ Bunclody

Courage and confidence!

Let this be our motto.
