The Road Safety Authority Roadshow visited our school on the 3rd & 4th of November. Each class in 4th, 5th and 6th years got a chance to take part in the activities on the stand.   The Roadshow includes an interactive road safety Shuttle and roll over simulator.  It allowed our students to practise driving skills on simulators (car, motorbike), test their hazard perception skills, test their brake reaction times along with many other very interesting experiences. It was very interesting and educational and students learned how to properly use their seatbelt so it protects them in case of an accident. They also had the opportunity to experience a crash scene in the car outside. Thanks to Ms. Emily-Anne Doyle for organising this.

If you look at this photo carefully you will see four boys in the roll over simulator – experiencing what it would be like to be in a car which rolls over in a crash
