International rugby star, Sean O’Brien, launched a traditional  music CD, “Trad Mad” made and performed by FCJ students on the 18th of December.  The recording was arranged by two students Alexandra   Kennedy-Ryan & Ryan Neads for their TY Mini-Company. The CD was recorded by Ollie Hennessy a music director\producer from Carlow. Part of the money raised in the sales of the CD is going to  the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, Bunclody. Over 100 CD’s were sold during the launch and there was a fantastic turn out . A Saint  Vincent de Paul  representative, John McCabe, also spoke on the night.

The musicians featured on the CD are:  Bronwyn Castles (Button Accordion),  Lisa Doran (Flute / Tin Whistle), Aoife Doyle (Tin Whistle), William Dunne (Fiddle), Oran Fitzpatrick (Accordion / Flute / Piano),  Ciara Kinsella (Concertina / Tin Whistle), Nicola Kinsella (Tin Whistle), Marie-Celine Lawlor (Tin Whistle), Brian Lee (Fiddle), Luke Nolan (Flute), Michael O’Leary (Uileann Pipes / Flute), Katie O’Toole (Flute / Tin Whistle), Aaron Rooney (Guitar),  Ciara Ryan (Accordion / Tin Whistle) & Oisín Sloan Starr (Bodhrán).
