We have finally got rid of the last of the prefab classrooms, which have been a feature of our school’s life since the 1970’s.   The last four were demolished recently when the new classrooms were ready.   Since April last the four classrooms have been occupied – two of them are attached to The d’Houët Building and the other two have been built on to the St. Victoire’s Building.   The classrooms were funded by a grant from the DES.

Included in the building work has been

  • The female staff toilets have been enlarged and new male staff toilets and a disabled toilet have been provided.
  • The 2nd, 3rd & 5th Year Boys toilets have been renovated.
  • A wheelchair ramp has been put in place at the St. Patrick’s Building entrance opposite The d’Houët Building and during the summer
  • The study Hall in the d’Houët Building has been divided into two classrooms – the Concert Hall will be used as a Study Hall in future.

Finally there has been the improvement of the campus at the front of the school.    There are more parking spaces for staff cars and, very importantly, a clearly marked walkway for students from the front door to the main gate. [See Photo on the web site Banner]
